作業療法士:OT pagumaru's diary
日々の臨床と研究のことを書いていきます。It's been over 15 years since I got an occupational therapist license in Japan. I completed the master's program at graduate school. I would like to write on this blog what I thought about doing clinical occupational therapy in Japan. I'm learning English.
self-help tool

A convenient self-help tool for people with hemiplegia (In Japan)

  • Hang out the laundry

I would like to introduce a Japanese self-help tool that I introduced to a patient with hemiplegia.

In Japan, it is common to hang laundry on the balcony or in the garden. On rainy days, the laundry may be dried in the room.

Japanese people, both those who have a washing machine with a dryer and those who do not, value it to dry in the sunlight without using a dryer.

People with hemiplegia must use clothespins with one hand.
Therefore, I will introduce clothespins that allow you to dry the laundry with one hand.
